NEMA unveils Miss Epitome Universe 2024
It was indeed a night of glamour and glitz as the Nigeria Epitome Merit Award (NEMA) on Saturday in Abuja when Miss Jemkur Chalnan Bernice from Plateau State emerged winner of Miss Epitome Universe 2024.
Miss Agi Dorcas Obiche from Adamawa became the 2nd runner up, while Miss Deborah Samari from Imo state emerged the 1st runner up and MEU top model 2024.
The Chief Executive Officer, Miss Epitome Universe and founder Nigeria Epitome Merit Award (NEMA), Faith Ojone Sani reiterated that by highlighting the achievements of outstanding Nigerians, the award aims to promote a culture of meritocracy and serve as a beacon of hope for the nation's future.
Ojone said, "The journey towards achieving an epitome merit award is marked by several hurdles, which include intense competition from other highly qualified candidates.
She said the need to consistently demonstrate exceptional performance or achievements, overcoming personal or professional challenges, navigating biases or prejudices in the selection process, and the requirement to continuously improve and excel in one's field to remain competitive.
According to the organizers, the Nigeria Epitome Merit Award was initiated to recognize and celebrate individuals who embody excellence, innovation, and positive impact within their respective fields.
The idea was born out of a desire to honor excellence and inspire others to strive for greatness. Stellamaries is considered merit worthy for her selfless humanitarian services and as such awarded 'Media Personality of the Year, 2024'
Meanwhile, an Abuja based Comedian, Gospel Alhaji was on ground thrilling the audience with hilarious comedies.
